Rachael and Chris had the most amazing cosy, country Christmas wedding last year. It was an absolute pleasure to take photos of such a perfectly planned day. Every single detail was picture perfect so it made my job easy! Think wooden beams, real fires, candlelit dinner, fairy lights, very muted, warm tones - champagne golds with a hint of deep plum. It was intimate, festive, and so much fun!
I love Christmas weddings but the only tricky thing about that time of year is the very early sunset meaning that in their case, it would be pretty much completely dark outside within 20 minutes of their ceremony. This meant that although the timing was perfect for the cosy feel of the day, we wouldn’t have enough time for couple and group photos. Rachael and Chris instead opted to take their photos before the ceremony which included a ‘first look’ for the bride and groom. This moment was perfectly informal as you will see from the photos. Changing the framework of a 'traditional wedding day' in this way, also meant that we got to capture the group shots before the ceremony so after they said 'I do', they were able to simply relax and enjoy mingling with their guests and celebrating.
Special mention to the absolutely stunning bouquet which even included feathers and pinecones by Lady Flora. Rachael’s amazing dress was the ’Alice’ by Watters, purchased from London Bride Couture and altered by the hugely talented Emma Louise Design. Her
Rachael got ready at the amazing Tylney Hall which has the most stunning grounds which we utilised for the photos.
Thank you Rachael and Chris for asking me to capture your special day.
